Dr. Alexandria Lightning is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for underserved communities. She holds 5 Nurse Practitioner state licenses, including Arizona, California, Indiana, Nevada, and Texas. Dr. Lightning served as the first-named Regional Clinical Supervisor for a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southern California, overseeing 8 clinic locations and 20 healthcare providers.
She founded Lightning Medical in 2020 not only to continue caring for the sick, but to also keep healthy people healthy with an integrative approach.
In April 2020, Alexandria answered the call to become a New York City COVID-19 emergency responder, where she served as a provider for 2 months on a COVID ICU unit at one of the hardest hit hospitals in the South Bronx.
Alexandria also served as a COVID frontliner in El Paso, TX for 4 months. Seeing the first hand impact of health disparities exposed by the pandemic was a major inspiration for the establishment of Lightning Medical.
