Alexandria Lightning is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for underserved communities. She holds 5 Nurse Practitioner state licenses and served as the first-named Regional Clinical Supervisor for a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southern California, overseeing 8 clinic locations and 20 healthcare providers.
In April 2020, Alexandria answered the call to become a New York City COVID-19 emergency responder, where she served as a provider for 2 months on a COVID ICU unit at one of the hardest hit hospitals in the South Bronx.
Alexandria also served as a COVID frontliner in El Paso, TX for 4 months. Seeing the first hand impact of health disparities exposed by the pandemic was a major inspiration for the establishment of Lightning Medical.
